Yoga Therapy
Preventative Yoga
Yoga therapy is the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and well-being through the application of the teachings and practices of yoga.
While all yoga is potentially therapeutic and healing, this practice at its core is based on the Eastern philosophy of preventing physical injury. Additionally, the very poses that help you can also hurt you, which brings in the emphasis of posing correctly.
Owner of Better Bodies Yoga Karen Moss has been certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists since May 1, 2017. She is currently serving as a subject matter expert for IAYT, whose job is to create a comprehensive yoga therapy exam to certify new yoga therapists. Karen teaches a variety of individual and group sessions recommended by local medical professionals, such as Ms. Anne C Stewart, MS PT, and Ken P Clenin, DC, CCRD, CSCS, CKPT.
